NMBL's Year in Review: NMBLstrategies.com

If we were asked to describe 2021 in terms of our website in one word, that word would undeniably be growth. 2021 saw our SEO efforts rewarded through increased traffic and visitors spending more time on our pages on average. Over the course of the year, 28,241 visitors came to NMBL’s site compared to 8,800 in 2020. In 2020, it was uncommon to see more than 10-30 visitors a day, but by May of 2021, triple-digit daily visitors became a regular occurrence with the website welcoming roughly a thousand visitors weekly by mid-year. Many of these visitors came to read our blogs, so we want to highlight and reshare those blogs that received the most clicks.

Four Alternatives to a SWOT Analysis

By far our most popular blog, the Four Alternatives to a SWOT Analysis received 9,187 visitors since it was posted on July 1st. NMBL Strategies utilizes a PESTLE analysis in our strategic planning process which leads us to explore and share our findings on viable alternatives to the common SWOT analysis. Take a look and see if you’re ready to utilize a new method of analysis.

3 Key Differences Between a Working Board and a Governance Board for a Nonprofit

Next up is a blog topic that we covered in several blogs this year including:

The Board of Directors is a critical part of a nonprofit. A well-functioning board can drastically improve and sustain an organization. Many visitors likely recognized the need for a quality board as well as the challenges posed by the intricacies of board recruitment and relationships which is why this blog received 1,689 visitors since it was posted on June 17th. Be sure to check out all of our blogs on the topic of boards today.

5 Examples of Public-Private Partnerships in Implementation

Public-private partnerships are challenging endeavors. Those undertaking a P3 project can learn from successful partnerships in the past. That is why we created this blog that highlights five successful P3 projects. The first project on this list is particularly important as NMBL’s Founder and CEO, Eric Moraczewski, lead the Gateway Arch Park Foundation (Private Foundation responsible for providing $250 million of the $380 million project) through the largest Public-Private Partnership in National Park Service history. This blog has earned 1,564 clinks since the start of the year.

Free Nonprofit Strategic Planning Prep Kit

One of our most pragmatic pages, the Strategic Planning Prep Kit has been popular amongst visitors as it provides a template for organizations preparing to undergo a strategic plan. A Strategic Plan is a big investment and one that, if done correctly, can make a big impact on the success of an organization. That is why we took to the time to develop this kit to help organizations start on the right foot, and we are glad that over one thousand visitors have agreed. Check out some of our other most popular strategic planning blogs here such as The Importance of Gap Analysis in Strategic Planning and What is the Purpose of an Environmental Analysis in Strategic Planning?

How To Write a Strategic Plan RFP

Developed shortly after our Strategic Planning Kit began seeing success, NMBL created a blog on How To Write a Strategic Plan RFP which has seen five hundred visitors since July 27th. The RFP process is an ever-important first step toward a successful strategic plan because it sets the limits on what kind of service you will receive. So many “strategic plans” are not really strategic plans and your organization deserves better than a low-quality planning package. Check out our blog on how to write a quality RFP and ensure that you attract high-quality, proper strategic planning vendors.
